Beer at the Weir sits at the entrance to Whitebottom Farm, reached through Etherow Country Park and right next to the waterfall. It’s an easy stop whether you’re out walking, cycling, or just passing by. Come down for a pint and burger.

Whitebottom Farm is a working farm and has been for generations. What you see around you is the real thing — fields, cattle, and the river running past the weir.
The farm isn’t just the setting, it’s what we do every day, and it’s where the food on your plate starts.

We keep the bar straightforward and serve drinks we actually like.
You’ll find Hawkstone, a small range of our own spirits, and Harlot English Sparkling Wine if you fancy something different.
That’s it — no massive lists, just solid drinks done properly.
Back British - Drink English

We take our beef seriously.
We’ve spent years rearing Aberdeen Angus cattle properly, taking the time to get it right from the field up.
Our smash burgers are what people come back for. Simple, no nonsense, and made using our own beef — crisp on the outside, juicy in the middle, and full of flavour. They’ve become a bit of a talking point, and we’re happy to let them speak for themselves.

Open 12-5pm Every Saturday & Sunday
Excluding Festival Weekends
